Hussein al-Haj Hassan, the head of the Baalbek-Hermel parliamentary bloc and a senior representative of the Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, speaking about recent developments in the country, announced that in the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, we have many capabilities, resolve, will, and heroic youth.
 
During a memorial ceremony, Hussein al-Haj Hassan stated: "We also have a mountain to rely on, which is Iran and its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. We are proud to be allies of Iran and to rely on its power."
 
This Hezbollah representative further referred to the history of resistance in Lebanon and emphasized why Imam Sayyid Musa Sadr founded the Amal Movement battalions – because the Lebanese government at that time had failed in its duties to defend the nation, protect the country, and safeguard its south.
 
He further stated: "Let those who have forgotten remember that Imam Musa Sadr was the first to establish the resistance and its path in Lebanon, at a time when the Lebanese government had failed in its duty, and there were figures in the Lebanese government who believed that Lebanon's power lay in its weakness."
