Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad-Hassan Akhtari, head of the Central Headquarters for Commemorating Islamic Unity Week, has emphasized the critical need for enhanced and explanatory programs during the upcoming Islamic Unity Week, particularly in light of recent US-Israeli attacks and regional complexities.

In a recent gathering, Hujjat-ul-Islam Akhtari noted that this year’s Islamic Unity Week holds special significance both domestically and internationally, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Following a year dedicated to the Prophet of Islam, where some planned programs were impacted by the prevailing war conditions, Akhtari stressed the necessity for intensified efforts and multi-fold actions this year.
 
Akhtari pointed out that the current circumstances, marked by ongoing conflict and the martyrdom of commanders and citizens, create a profound need within society for the unifying message of Islamic Unity.
 
“Furthermore,” he stated, “the participation and cooperation of Persian Gulf countries with the enemies have created issues within the international arena. The propagation of certain insinuations and doubts, both inside and outside the country, necessitates that we strive harder this year for the Islamic Unity Week programs.”
 
The head of the Central Headquarters also underscored the importance of holding scientific and explanatory sessions in Sunni-populated regions. He invoked the concept of “Jihad of Explanation,” a directive from the martyred leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasizing its current significance and the responsibility it places on their shoulders.
 
The cleric’s remarks come amidst heightened regional tensions that follow recent escalations attributed to US-Israeli actions, underscoring the strategic importance of fostering unity within the Islamic world.
