US-Israeli war on Iran highlights necessity of boosting Islamic unity against Zionism, global arrogance

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hossein Mousavi Pour said the upcoming Islamic Unity Week is being observed under extraordinary circumstances. He pointed to the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon, as well as the blatant aggressions by the United States and Israel against Islamic territories.

He made the remarks as the CCIP has officially appointed Hujjat ul-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari as the Head of the Central Headquarters for the Commemoration of Unity Week and the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

In a statement released by the CCIP Public Relations office, Hujjat-ul-Islam Mousavi Pour emphasized that the concept of Islamic unity has gained unprecedented significance in the current global landscape.

He noted that as the Muslim Ummah faces profound transformations, complex challenges, and conspiracies by the global hegemony to weaken Islamic identity and create divisions among Muslim nations, the strategy of convergence has become a fundamental pillar for the dignity and progress of the Ummah.

Mousavi-Pour stressed that Islamic unity is not merely a political strategy but a truth rooted in the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the profound legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (as), serving as a crucial bulwark against divisive and imperialist currents.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mousavi-Pour further noted that this year’s Unity Week coincides with the commemoration of martyred statesmen and the “Government Week.” Furthermore, it serves as a milestone in the programs marking the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH).

He concluded that this timing provides a unique opportunity to re-examine the social and civilizational dimensions of the Prophetic lifestyle, to articulate the global message of Islamic brotherhood, and to bridge the values of Islamic unity with the collective responsibility required to stand united against the fronts of disbelief and arrogance.
