Aliyev to Pezeshkian: Baku stands with the Iranian nation

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, following the statements of Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized that Baku stands with the brotherly Iranian nation.

Ilham Aliyev today (Monday) wrote on the social network X: "Mr. President, Masoud Pezeshkian, I sincerely thank you for your kind and heartfelt words about the Republic of Azerbaijan."
 
He added: "The people of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran have always stood by each other in difficult and challenging days."
 
Aliyev further stated that "the Republic of Azerbaijan, following recent developments in the region, once again showed that it stands with the brotherly Iranian nation."
 
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in his press conference, referring to the cooperation of neighboring countries during wartime, stated: "Pakistan is now cooperating wholeheartedly. Afghanistan also has very good cooperation. Turkmenistan has good cooperation. Russia and Iraq also helped us well. Regarding the Republic of Azerbaijan, despite some political issues, dialogue and interaction have continued."
 
Emphasizing the role of regional diplomacy in reducing the effects of the siege and restrictions caused by the war, he stated: "If this process in regional diplomacy did not exist, one would have to ask where the logistics and supplies that are now available to the country would have come from."
