Imam Hussain(AS) uprising is a model of steadfastness against oppression

The Leader's representative in Kurdistan province described the objectives of the Ashura uprising as reviving religion, reforming society, and supporting the oppressed.
Imam Hussain(AS) uprising is a model of steadfastness against oppression
According to Taghrib News Agency (TNA), Hujjat al-Islam Abdolreza Pourzahabi, on Saturday evening at a passionate gathering of the people of Sanandaj in Azadi Square, expressed his views on the various dimensions of the Hussaini uprising, regional developments, and the necessity of preserving national unity.

Pourzahabi further, citing the precious words of Imam Hussein (AS) about the objectives of the Ashura uprising, stated: "Aba Abdillah al-Hussain (AS) never rose for power competition or to achieve wealth and material gains. Rather, his ultimate goal was to revive religion, reform society, support the oppressed, and implement divine obligations and rulings. From this perspective, anyone who accepts a responsibility for self-aggrandizement or personal gain has distanced themselves from the authentic path of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), because in their school, power is not the goal but a means for service and the implementation of divine values."

Emphasizing that one of the fundamental goals of the Hussaini movement was to make the signs of religion manifest in society, he added: "Imam Hussein (AS) sacrificed himself, his family, and his faithful companions on this path so that religion would remain alive in society and divine rulings would be implemented."

In another part of his remarks, the member of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership considered supporting the oppressed as one of the essential pillars of the school of Imam Hussein (AS), and said: "Islam never says that if an oppressed person is being wronged in a distant geographical point, it has nothing to do with us. Rather, wherever a human being is oppressed, a Muslim cannot remain indifferent. The recent developments in the region and the crimes in Gaza have clearly shown that silence in the face of oppression is incompatible with religious teachings and the Hussaini conduct."
