A new step to strengthen the religious activities of Thai Muslims through the revival of a waqf

Islamic waqf in Thailand remains one of the foundations of religious and social activity for Muslims. In this regard, waqf land belonging to a benevolent woman has been transferred to two mosques in Nonthaburi province to be used for serving the Muslim community and future generations.
A new step to strengthen the religious activities of Thai Muslims through the revival of a waqf
Sheikh "Arun Boonchom," the Sheikh al-Islam of Thailand, attended the ceremony for the transfer of waqf land documents belonging to "Riyadh al-Sunnah" Mosque and "Bang O" Mosque in Nonthaburi province. This land had been endowed for religious activities and service to the Muslim community according to the will of the late "Suratana Manajit."
 
Implementation of a benevolent will for future generations
 
The Sheikh al-Islam of Thailand received the ownership documents from "Jintana Yuthasamut," the representative of the Manajit family, and then handed them over to the representatives of the two mosques, so that these properties, as waqf assets, would ensure the continuation of religious and social activities of the mosques.
 
Nonthaburi; a historical center of Muslims in Thailand
 
Nonthaburi province is located northwest of Bangkok, within the Bangkok metropolitan area, and is considered one of the regions with a history of Muslim presence in central Thailand.
 
The presence of old mosques and religious centers in this region has doubled the importance of waqf in supporting the religious, educational, and social activities of Muslims.

This action is an example of the role of Islamic waqf in providing sustainable resources for mosques, supporting religious education, and providing social services.
 
By transforming charitable contributions into lasting assets, waqf enables different generations to benefit from its effects and promotes the culture of sustainable philanthropy in Islamic communities.
