Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Abdolfattah Nawab, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, at the conclusion of his Arbaeen trip – undertaken to improve services to Arbaeen pilgrims, as well as to meet with the custodians of the holy shrines, scholars, and religious authorities of Iraq, and to visit Arbaeen Mowkebs – said in an interview with reporters: "We thank the great God for granting the dear Iranian nation the success to maintain their presence in the streets and squares, and to display their magnificent presence in Arbaeen – this unique phenomenon of our time. The martyred leader paid special attention to this phenomenon and always emphasized its worthy observance. This year, this ceremony was held in the best possible manner."

He added: "The public programs, both in Islamic Iran and in Najaf, Karbala, and along the Arbaeen walking route, were well organized. At night, as if on schedule, people would gather with great enthusiasm in front of the Mowkebs, perform flag processions, chant slogans, and keep alive the same programs that are held in Islamic Iran."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, referring to the presence of the Iraqi people in these programs, said: "The Iraqi people, who also gave their all in the funeral of the martyred leader, were actively present in this epic ceremony as well. In some programs, Iraqi brothers participated alongside Iranian pilgrims in flag processions and attended this valuable program with special dedication."

Hujjat al-Islam Nawab, stating that this year's Arbaeen had its own special characteristics, said: "This was the first year in which Arbaeen was held without the physical presence of the martyred leader, although his lofty spirit, guidance, and leadership of this martyred son are present and watchful in all these programs. The people of Islamic Iran also performed the pilgrimage on his behalf, demanded remembrance and retribution for him, and in various programs, they always spoke of his ethics, conduct, guidance, and the lessons he had imparted, conveying valuable points to the people."

He continued: "One of the points that should be noted this year compared to previous years was that the enemy did not want the name of the martyred Imam to be spoken, but God preserves His light. This year, his name, memory, and words were raised more vibrantly, more densely, and more widely than ever in the neighboring and friendly country of Iraq, and the people remembered him with affection and respect."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs noted: "Just as the enemy wanted the name of the child-killing Zionist regime to be prominent in the world, the people of the world trampled the flag of this child-killing regime and criminal America, and raised the flag of Palestine – which they wanted to be forgotten – above their hands. Year after year, the defeat of the front of disbelief increases, and the front of Islam and the front of truth advances, so that, God willing, other arenas of the world will also be illuminated by the light of truth, and a world free of oppression and tyranny will be created for all humanity."

Referring to another part of the Arbaeen programs in Iraq, he stated: "As the Supreme Leader of the Revolution guided, the pilgrimage was performed on behalf of the martyred leader. In addition to the pilgrimage on his behalf, pilgrimages were also performed in memory of the martyrs of the first to third imposed wars, and the field and street activists. The speakers also emphasized this matter, and the people, with knowledge and insight, paid attention to this issue themselves and carried out these programs with sincerity."

In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Nawab, expressing gratitude to the Iraqi people both for the epic funeral of the martyred leader and for their generous service to the Arbaeen pilgrims, said: "The Iraqi people truly gave their all. It was even reported that some other governments asked them why they showed such respect and honor for the leader of another country. They replied: 'He was the leader of the Islamic Ummah and beloved by the free people of the world.' This statement reflects the depth of love and the bond between Muslim nations, and the lofty status of Wilayah and leadership among the Islamic Ummah and the free people of the world."
