Arbaeen has transformed from a pilgrimage into a roadmap for civilization-building

The international conference "Al-Arbaeen; The Awaited Ones and Islamic Civilization" was held by the cultural-educational committee of the Arbaeen Headquarters at the Muntazirun Mowkeb, located at pillar 1195 on the Najaf-Karbala walking route.

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Abdolfattah Nawab, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, at this conference, elaborated on the civilizational dimensions of the Arbaeen movement, the dynamism of the Resistance Axis, and the concept of active awaiting, and said: "The Arbaeen movement is a lesson in dynamism, building, and paying respect to the lofty status of the martyrs on the path of truth."

He stated: "Today, renewing the covenant with this path is not only for mourning, but for drawing lessons of movement and building the future."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs emphasized: "We must bow in respect before the noble and hospitable people of Iraq. The great scenes of million-strong presence and the unparalleled hosting by the Iraqi people were beyond a ceremony – they were an epic and an Islamic jihad that shook the foundations of arrogance. This great passion showed that the bond of nations is not formed by geographical borders, but around the axis of Wilayah."

Hujjat al-Islam Nawab noted: "The passion and the tens of millions gathering at Arbaeen is a great step on the path of awaiting. Some imagine that awaiting means sitting and waiting; but in the school of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the martyred leader, awaiting is itself struggle."

He added: "Awaiting means staying up-to-date, enhancing capabilities, and being fully prepared for when the truth manifests. What is observed today in the Resistance Axis, from Iran to Lebanon and Iraq, is a dynamic, living current, deeply rooted in divine will, which – unlike the outdated Western civilizational models – does not wear out."

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Nawab, emphasizing the second step of the Islamic Ummah's movement, recalled: "Today, we are transitioning from the stage of Ummah-building to the greater stage of world-building. If in the past the effort was to build an Ummah with shared beliefs, the Arbaeen movement provides a platform for laying the foundations of a new society and world, and for the realization of a new Islamic civilization – where ethnic and national differences dissolve under a single faith. According to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the believing ones who await are like the 'morning breeze' in bringing about change and transformation in the world."

In conclusion, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, stating that Arbaeen is a practical laboratory for building this civilization, enumerated the dimensions of true awaiting and said: "Steadfastness and resistance against oppression, sincere service to the people, and learning to be at the forefront in the field of civilization-building are the main pillars of true awaiting. Therefore, pilgrims and those who await must consider the Arbaeen pilgrimage not merely as a memory, but as a roadmap for building their own civilization and a model for the Islamic world."
