Two Palestinians succumbed to wounds sustained late Sunday night after being shot during a colonists’ attack on the town of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, according to the Ministry of Health.

The two were identified as Ahmad Adel Abu Mukho, 26, and Odeh Abdul Rahim Odeh Farakhneh, 53.

Three Palestinians were seriously injured in the attack carried out by colonists on the town earlier Sunday night.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its crews treated two additional injured Palestinians, including a man in his 50s who required cardiopulmonary resuscitation while being transported to hospital due to the severity of his condition.

Local sources said Israeli occupation forces also opened fire at an ambulance transporting one of the injured to hospital.

Towns and villages across the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate have witnessed a surge in attacks by colonists targeting Palestinians and their property. The attacks have included physical assaults, live fire, arson attacks on homes and other property, and the destruction of agricultural land, carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, amid a continued escalation in colonist violence across the occupied West Bank.
