According to the statement, specialized machinery and forces have been dispatched to the mission sites in various areas of the holy city of Karbala to carry out cleaning operations, prepare roads, support service institutions, and prepare conditions for providing services to millions of Arbaeen pilgrims.

“The measures are carried out within the framework of a comprehensive service plan and in coordination with government, security, and service institutions, and their goal is to provide the best services, support the efforts of the governorate, and ensure the successful holding of the Arbaeen pilgrimage,” it said.

Millions of Shia pilgrims and mourners from Sunni community as well as devotees of Imam Hussein (AS) from other religions observe the fortieth day after the Day of Ashura commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
