The martyred Ayatollah Khamenei was not only the leader of Iran, but the leader of the Islamic Ummah and the free people of the world
Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Lebanon, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), offering condolences on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, described him as a rare and influential figure in the Islamic world, and stated: "This prominent, comprehensive, and influential figure of our time is almost the only personality who, with his martyrdom today and before that with his long struggle and perseverance over 37 years of leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has created a new history."

He added: "In truth, he was not only the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but also a leader for the nations of the Islamic world, the Arab world, and all the free people of the world."

Sheikh Al-Khatib stated: "Therefore, it is not possible to describe and evaluate the personality of Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei and his great role in creating this common factor among nations and his unparalleled ability to speak with all human beings, despite the differences in their religions, cultures, and orientations, in just a few sentences or a few moments."

The Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Lebanon, in response to the question of what were the most important achievements of the martyred leader's approach in strengthening the Islamic Ummah, stated: "In my opinion, the most important factor, alongside his extensive knowledge, high culture, and deep understanding of the Arab world, the Islamic world, and the world in general, was his unique way of expression and discourse with which he spoke to everyone."

He continued: "He did not speak to attract hearts and minds, but because he was a sincere person, he acted upon what he said. This same sincerity caused our nations and many other nations of the world to be influenced by him and consider him a worthy model for themselves."

Sheikh Al-Khatib emphasized: "The martyred leader of the revolution was the embodiment of the divine saying that a person's speech should align with his actions, just as Almighty God desires our words to match our deeds. Sincerity in faith, sincerity in speech, sincerity in action, and sincerity in purpose gave him a distinguished and unique characteristic."

In conclusion, offering condolences on this great loss to the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah, he said: "While offering condolences to the Iranian nation and also to ourselves on this great tragedy and heavy loss, I ask Almighty God to preserve the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation."

The Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shia Council of Lebanon also wished success for the new Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and added: "We also offer our condolences to him on this tragedy, because he has paid a heavy price and lost his father and family members."

In conclusion, Sheikh Al-Khatib said: "I hope that through him, the Islamic unity that the honorable President, Dr. Pezeshkian, has emphasized and focused on, will be realized, and that all currents and all officials within the Islamic Republic of Iran will become united and of one heart, so that through synergy and unity, they may achieve the lofty goals of the Islamic Revolution."
