The martyred leader of Iran was a true herald of unity

Mawlawi Seyyed Ahmad Abdollahi, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Asadieh, at the "Farewell of the Heralds of Unity with the Martyred Leader" ceremony held in Mashhad, referring to the exalted status of martyrdom in Islamic teachings, stated: "Martyrdom is a sign of God's love for righteous servants, and God in the Holy Quran has introduced martyrs as alive and enjoying eternal life."

Stating that the Iranian nation has always emerged triumphant in difficult historical trials, he added: "The Islamic Republic, during the Sacred Defense, the 12-day war, and also in the tragedy of the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader and a number of commanders, scientists, and innocent people, has passed through these trials with dignity by relying on faith and national unity. Today as well, the key to victory is preserving the cohesion of the Islamic Ummah."

The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Asadieh, referring to the recent crimes of the enemies against the Iranian people, especially the martyrdom of students and other citizens, stated: "The enemies of Islam and the revolution entered the field with the weapon of division, but the Iranian nation responded with the weapon of unity and solidarity, and inflicted humiliation and defeat upon the enemies."

Mawlawi Abdollahi, recalling the meeting of a group of Sunni scholars with the martyred leader in September 2024, said: "In that meeting, which was held with the presence of about 45 Sunni scholars, the martyred leader repeatedly emphasized the concept of the 'Ummah' and said that if the Islamic Ummah truly acts upon this concept, the enemies will never dare to transgress and commit crimes against Muslims. He always emphasized the necessity of recognizing the enemy, defending the Palestinian cause, and being vigilant against the conspiracies of arrogance."

He also, quoting remarks from Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a prominent scholar of the Islamic world, stated: "If Islamic countries do not maintain their unity, the scope of enemy aggression will reach the holiest Islamic lands. Therefore, unity and convergence today is more than ever a strategic necessity for the Islamic world."

The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Asadieh, criticizing the trust of some Islamic governments in the enemies, noted: "The martyred leader always warned that we should not trust the deceptive appearance of the enemy, because their inner nature is like an iron claw inside a velvet glove. Recent events also showed that even after signing agreements, the enemies do not cease their aggression and hostility."

In conclusion, Mawlawi Abdollahi, while praising the martyred leader's scientific personality, insight, enemy-recognition, and unity-building role, emphasized: "The path of dignity for the Islamic Ummah is to stand firm on truth, continue the path of the martyrs, and preserve unity and cohesion in light of the teachings of the Holy Quran and the guidance of the martyred leader."
