The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with a number of foreign dignitaries and cultural and religious figures on the sideline of the martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari discussed a range of topics related to the Muslim world and strategies to boost solidarity among Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Over three consecutive days, separate meetings were held where the attendees engaged in dialogues with Dr. Shahriari concerning the most pressing issues facing the Islamic world.
 
Key topics included pathways to strengthening Islamic unity, promoting inter-sectarian convergence, and enhancing scientific, cultural, and religious collaborations.
 
Participants in these meetings emphasized the critical need for convergence among religious elites and highlighted the unparalleled role of scholars in consolidating Islamic unity and countering divisive elements.
 
Furthermore, discussions underscored the importance of expanding connections between Islamic academic and religious centers, intensifying interfaith dialogues, and leveraging the collective capacities of the Islamic Ummah to address prevailing challenges.
 
Notable attendees included a delegation from Russia, Rawafed Al-Yassiri (Head of the Islamic Awqaf Administration of Norway), Muhammad Azmi Abdul Hamid (president of Malaysian Islamic Organizations Consultative Council), Mawlavi Abdul Rauf Tawana of the Shahid Tawana Cultural Foundation of Afghanistan) and Habibullah Hosam (Member of the Supreme Council of the Global Assembly for Islamic Proximity of Religions from Afghanistan).
