Funeral Procession for Leader of the Islamic Revolution held in Tehran
The funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has been held in the capital, Tehran with millions of people in the streets to bid a final farewell with the martyred Leader.

Thousands of mourners took to the streets hours ahead of the funeral procession scheduled to begin in eastern Tehran in the early hours of Monday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Along the procession route, mourners waved the flags of the Islamic Republic and raised portraits of the martyred Leader alongside other martyrs of the ongoing US-Israeli war.
The procession follows a two-day mourning period held at the Grand Mosalla of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Tehran. Millions of citizens from across the Islamic world and devotees from every corner of the globe converged on the capital to pay tribute and bid a final farewell to the martyred Leader.
At the Mosalla compound, mourners also waved red flags—symbolizing the demand for justice and retribution for the martyred Leader and his family members, who were martyred during the February 28 attack by US and Israeli forces.
On Sunday morning, funeral prayers were offered for the martyred Leader and four members of his family, including his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
Monday’s funeral ceremony marks the conclusion of a three-day farewell period in Tehran, before the martyred Leader’s body is transferred to the holy city of Qom for a separate funeral service.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi holy cities of Karbala and Najaf have made extensive preparations for a day of national mourning and tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The final farewell and burial of the martyred Leader are scheduled to take place at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Iran’s northeastern city of Mashhad this Thursday.
