The Islamic Ummah must unite in support of Palestine and against oppression

According to a report by the Taghrib News Agency, Mufti Ehteshamul Islam Chowdhury, the head of the Bangladesh Islami Andolan Party, speaking at the international webinar "Imam Khamenei; the Martyr of Unity" organized by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, emphasized the necessity of unity of the Islamic Ummah and standing against oppression and aggression.

Stating that Muslims around the world, from east to west and north to south, believe in one God, one Prophet, one Quran, and one Qibla, he said: "Today, despite the existence of 57 Islamic countries, only a few nations and movements have openly stood in support of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque."

Mufti Chowdhury said: "Looking at the current conditions of the region, we observe that Iran has taken a stance against Israel and in support of the Palestinian nation, and this is a matter of significance for the Islamic Ummah."

Referring to regional conflicts, he added: "The final judgment on the performance of nations and governments in the face of oppression will be based on divine criteria, and human beings will have to answer for their actions before God."

The head of the Bangladesh Islami Andolan Party, criticizing some divisions in the Islamic world, stated: "We should not separate the Islamic Ummah from one another under the pretext of ideological differences or under the influence of certain currents; because all Muslims share common ground in the fundamental principles of the faith."

He continued: "Today, in supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque and the oppressed children of Palestine, an issue beyond religious differences is at stake, and the Islamic Ummah must fulfill its responsibility in this regard."

Mufti Chowdhury called on Muslims around the world, within the framework of their capabilities and circumstances, to actively participate in supporting Palestine and confronting oppression and occupation, and said: "In Islamic cities and countries, the voice of support for the oppressed must be heard."

He also appreciated the supportive stances issued by some scholars and figures of the Islamic world regarding Palestine and Iran, and stated: "The issuance of such stances indicates the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslims."

In conclusion, this Bangladeshi scholar emphasized: "The Islamic Ummah must, by setting aside differences and avoiding division, strive to support the oppressed and achieve justice."
