Nabih Berri appreciates Iran, US for including a clause in the agreement about Lebanon
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament welcomed the Iran-US agreement and praised the inclusion of a binding clause for the cessation of the Zionist regime's attacks on his country.

According to a report by Al-Nashra, Nabih Berri, welcoming the Iran-US agreement, thanked the efforts of Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt in this regard.
He appreciated the existence of clauses in this agreement to strengthen security and stability in the region, including Lebanon, and thanked Tehran and Washington for their insistence on including a fundamental and binding clause in the reached agreement to halt the Zionist regime's aggressions against Lebanon.
Berri added that this clause ensures that Lebanon maintains its sovereignty over all its territory, and that it does not conflict with the country's national and sovereign independence and freedom of decision-making.
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament continued, "We must not fall into the trap set by the political officials of the Zionist regime, led by Benjamin Netanyahu."
Earlier, Lebanese media had published images and videos showing that the people of southern Lebanon were satisfied with this agreement, celebrating and rejoicing.
According to IRNA, the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, issuing a statement regarding the agreement to end the war between Iran and the US, emphasized that based on the agreements reached, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, ended immediately and permanently from Sunday night. Furthermore, the naval blockade against Iran has ended immediately and completely.
Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced in a message early Tuesday local time that a peace agreement had been reached between the US and Iran.
He wrote on his X social media account: "A peace agreement has been reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The two sides have announced the immediate and permanent end of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. The official signing ceremony of this agreement will be held on Friday, June 19 in Switzerland."
He added, "We thank the US and Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to end the conflict."
