Ammar Hakim Welcomes Agreement between Iran and US
The leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement, welcoming the agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, expressed hope that this step would pave the way for an end to tensions in the region and the beginning of a process for lasting peace.

According to the Taghrib News Agency, Sayyid Ammar Hakim, the leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement, welcomed the agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States and the end of the 108‑day war between the two sides.
In a statement, Hakim said: "I welcome the agreement reached between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, and I appreciate the efforts of the mediator countries, especially Pakistan and Qatar, which played a role in announcing both parties' consent to this agreement."
He added: "I hope this step marks the beginning of the end of conflicts in the region and paves the way for establishing lasting peace."
The head of the National State Forces Alliance in Iraq also stressed that diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region can create a new path for resolving differences and preventing the spread of crises.
Earlier, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had announced that the United States and Iran have reached a peace agreement that will immediately end all military operations in the Middle East, including in Lebanon.
According to this announcement, the signing ceremony for this agreement is scheduled to be held next Friday in Geneva.
