Nasser Qandil:

Iran's response to the Zionist aggression was carried out within the framework of the region's field and political equations

According to the Taghrib News Agency, Nasser Qandil, a senior Arab world analyst, while congratulating Iran's response to the Zionist regime's attacks against southern Lebanon and the Dahieh suburb of Beirut, and emphasizing his heartfelt certainty that Iran would respond to this flagrant violation of the ceasefire, stated: "The Zionist regime, by reacting to Iran's operation against the occupied territories, tried not to cede the equation of conflict to the other side."

He added: "Israel is trying to respond in a way that does not provoke American anger. Therefore, what happened was a round of tension that ends with Iran's final strike, and will ultimately lead to a ceasefire agreement that also includes Lebanon. The field and political equations are determined in this manner."

Qandil continued: "The US and Israel exerted their power, but they failed. The opposing front to Hezbollah in Lebanon—which included the US, Israel, and the Lebanese government—also failed to reach a result by adopting a policy of dialogue."

He stated: "Iran practically announced its support for its allies, and Yemen also showed its support on the ground."

This Arab world analyst emphasized in conclusion: "Consequently, stopping the war in the region will be a prerequisite for any agreement."
