Hamas condemns Israeli attack on displacement tents in Gaza City

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has denounced the latest Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip that targeted the displacement tents killing several civilians.

Hamas spokesperson, Hazem Qassem said the criminal occupation committed today a horrific massacre against displaced children and women in tents in Gaza City, as part of a criminal escalation of the unrelenting war of extermination against civilians.

In a statement, Qassem slammed the Israeli regime for continued breach of its commitments  explaining that these massacres coincide with the start of meetings in Cairo to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and confirm that "the occupation is working to undermine and destroy the agreement, and disregard the efforts of the mediators and the so-called Board of Peace."


The Hamas spokesperson called on the mediators and guarantors to break their silence regarding these violations, declare a clear and explicit position on them, and exert real pressure on the occupation - as the party responsible for obstructing the implementation of the agreement and derailing its progress.
 
The statement by Hamas came following an Israeli attack on Gaza City that killed six civilians injuring at least 15 others.
 
The strike targeted a tent sheltering displaced families near the Al-Rimal Boys’ Preparatory School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
 
Earlier in the day, medical sources in the Gaza Strip said the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,961. At least 173,092 others have also been injured.
