Statement of the Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations of Malaysia on the occasion of Yom an-Naksah

According to the Taghrib News Agency, the statement, issued on the anniversary of the June 1967 war, referred to the "Naksah" as one of the bitterest events in contemporary history, stating: "The consequences of the occupation of East Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and other Arab lands continue to cast a shadow over the political, humanitarian, and security situation in the region."

MAPIM, referring to the continued occupation of Palestinian lands and the denial of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, emphasized: "The Palestinian issue is not merely a historical matter but an ongoing reality, with millions of Palestinians still facing its consequences, including displacement, occupation, and the violation of their fundamental rights."

The statement also expressed concern over the continued actions of the Zionist regime in occupied Jerusalem and at Al-Aqsa Mosque, stating that "repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, restrictions on worshippers, and attempts to alter the historical and legal status of this holy site constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms."

This non-governmental organization described Al-Aqsa Mosque as a heritage belonging to all Muslims of the world and emphasized: "This holy site, as the first Qibla of Muslims and the place of the Ascension (Mi'raj) of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), holds a special place in the beliefs and identity of the Islamic Ummah."

The organization, praising the steadfastness of the Palestinian nation in defending their land, identity, and holy sites, emphasized the continuation of humanitarian support and international activities in defense of Palestinian rights.

The statement concluded: "The cause of freedom, dignity, and justice will never be extinguished, and the Palestinian nation will continue its legitimate struggle until the liberation of their land and the freedom of Al-Aqsa Mosque are achieved."
