The vision and insight of Imam Khomeini went beyond national borders

A group of activists and religious figures from Malaysia, while renewing their covenant with the ideals of Imam Khomeini, described the 37th anniversary of his passing as a reminder of the enduring lessons of sacrifice, resistance, justice, and steadfastness in preserving the dignity of the Muslim nation.
The vision and insight of Imam Khomeini went beyond national borders
According to the Taghrib News Agency, the Chairman of the Advisory Council of Islamic Organizations of Malaysia, the President of the Global Coalition of Mosques in Defense of Al-Aqsa, and the Secretary-Genel of the Asian Ulama Council issued a message on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini. The text of the message is as follows:

The vision and insight of Imam Khomeini transcended national borders. He called for the revival of Islamic awareness, liberation from domination, and resistance against tyranny and oppression. His call for the oppressed to rise up while maintaining dignity and self-confidence remains highly relevant for our contemporary world, which suffers from injustice, occupation, war, and exploitation.

At a time when humanity faces unprecedented crises—including the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people, escalating conflicts, widening economic inequalities, environmental destruction, and mol and spiritual upheavals—the principles of justice, courage, and spiritual resilience are more important than ever.

While renewing our covenant with the ideals of Imam Khomeini, we emphasize the following:

- The sanctity of all human life must be preserved without exception.

- The unity of the Muslim Ummah must transcend sectarian, ethnic, and political differences.

- Resistance against injustice and occupation is a legitimate mol and human duty.

- The struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom, dignity, and independence will remain a central issue for the Muslim Ummah and all defenders of justice.

- Islamic values of mercy, honesty, accountability, and social responsibility must be directed toward building peaceful and just societies.

- Empowering the younger generation scientifically, increasing spiritual strength, and deepening understanding of the contemporary challenges facing the Ummah are essential. While honoring the services of Imam Khomeini, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values of justice, defending the oppressed, strengthening unity, and striving for a world based on peace, human dignity, and mol responsibility.

We ask God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the martyrs, to reward all those who strive for truth and justice, and to unite the Islamic Ummah in wisdom, strength, and righteousness:

"And what is [the matter] with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children?" (Qun, Suh An-Nisa, 4:75)
