Love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is the greatest pride of the Islamic Ummah

The 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini was held today in Sanandaj with the focus on "Unity of the Islamic Ummah" and with the presence of various segments of the people.
Love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is the greatest pride of the Islamic Ummah
Ayatollah Ale Agha, the interim Friday Prayer Imam of Kermanshah, in this ceremony, explaining two precious legacies of Imam Khomeini—namely "God-centeredness" and "Rapprochement of Islamic Schools of Thought"—emphasized that love for the household of the Prophet (AS) has transcended Shia and Sunni boundaries, and the enemy today seeks to create discord in this sacred unity.

According to the Taghrib News Agency, the ceremony commemorating the 37th anniversary of the heavenly passing of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, was held this afternoon in the city of Sanandaj with the widespread presence of various segments of the people, a group of clerics, and provincial officials.

In this spiritual ceremony, Ayatollah Ale Agha, a prominent professor of the seminary and interim Friday Prayer Imam of Kermanshah, while welcoming and expressing devotion to the representative of the Supreme Leader in the province, the Friday Prayer Imam, the Governor of Kurdistan, and other attendees, referred to the high status of the people of this region and stated: "Kurdistan province is a land of great bravery, loyalties, and sacrifices. The people of this region, in the most critical years of the early Revolution, recognized well the enemy's conspiracies to ignite civil wars and fratricide and, with their chivalry, thwarted their plots. This steadfastness and manhood, as the martyred Leader said, is never forgettable."

Congratulating the arrival of the blessed Eid of Ghadir Khumm, he said: "We are on the threshold of three very important occasions: the great Eid of Ghadir, the anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and also the anniversary of the June 5 uprising, on which day Imam Khomeini (RA) courageously cried out against the capitulation law and American domination. But the Shah's regime thought it could silence the voice of truth through bloodshed, unaware that blood is the messenger of victory."

This seminary professor then recited poems by "Jami," the great Iranian Sunni poet, in praise of Imam Ali (AS), and said: "One of the greatest honors of the Islamic community, both Shia and Sunni, is having love for the Prophet and the household of infallibility and purity (AS). Imam Shafi'i also said in his poems that if loving the Prophet's household makes one a Rafidi, then I am a Rafidi as well."

Ayatollah Ale Agha, emphasizing two prominent characteristics of Imam Khomeini—namely "God-centeredness" and "unity-orientation"—noted: "Imam Khomeini never preferred the satisfaction of the creation over the satisfaction of God. The best way to honor him is to call him 'Abdullah,' meaning the servant of God. He made the verse 'Say, I only advise you of one [thing]: that you stand for Allah' (Quran 34:46) the guiding principle of his life. The world is in the presence of God. If we understand this statement of the Imam, our culture can become authentic and religious. All our problems are due to the neglect of some officials of this very truth."

He added: "The second important characteristic of the Imam was his attention to unity within the Ummah. He knew well that if we abandon each other due to religious differences, the enemy will cross through the gaps. Today, we need this precious legacy more than ever. Today's war is a soft war and a sowing of discord. The enemy wants to cause the collapse of our system by creating a religious rift."

The interim Friday Prayer Imam of Kermanshah, in another part of his remarks, referred to the leadership of the Supreme Leader and said: "Today, leadership is in the hands of an aware, courageous, and God-centered man who has foiled all the enemy's plots. Obeying him is not a political tool but a religious obligation and a national necessity, because he is the true inheritor of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Imam (Ayatollah Khamenei)."

Stating that divine victory is not conditional on outward power, Ayatollah Ale Agha said: "God helps His servants in ways that no one can imagine, just as in the story of Moses, He parted the sea. Today, we see the result of this victory in America's defeat in the Strait of Hormuz. Today, whoever controls the Strait of Hormuz possesses a deterrent power greater than an atomic bomb. Iran has today emerged as a superior regional power, and no choice remains for the enemy but to accept Iran's dignified conditions."

In conclusion, praying for the hastening of the return of Imam Mahdi (AS) and the repulsion of the evil of the enemies, he emphasized the continuation of support for the resistance axis, especially the oppressed and dignified people of Lebanon and dear Iran, and wished for the youth of the country education, employment, and marriage.
