According to the Taghrib News Agency, the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Central Headquarters issued a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the June 5 uprising.
The text of this statement is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Central Headquarters, while honoring the memory of the two Imams of the Islamic Revolution and the exalted martyrs, considers the coincidence of the anniversary of the passing of the Imam Khomeini and the June 5 uprising with the blessed Eid of Ghadir Khumm as a blessed sign of the connection between the inviolable principles of Imamate and the absolute guardianship (Wilayat Mutlaqah) of the jurist in the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The noble and resilient Iranian nation, on the anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini (RA), experiences the loss of their great martyred leader and their oppressed martyrs alongside the deep connection between faith, insight, and steadfastness against global arrogance. The June 5 uprising was the beginning of a movement that led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and the martyred Imam after Ruhollah [Khomeini] brought the ship of salvation of the Ummah to the peaks of dignity. Today as well, the Iranian nation, under the guidance of its wise and sagacious Leader, the Supreme Leader, is the standard-bearer of resistance and defense of truth and will continue this luminous path until final victory.
The recent warmongering of the United States and the Zionist regime has revealed the true face of the false claimants of human rights to the world, of which the martyrdom of 168 innocent and oppressed children of the Minab school is one among hundreds of their crimes. The Iranian nation, in the face of threats and aggression, not only does not retreat but continues the path of dignity more than ever through unity and faith.
The powerful, brave, proud, and honorable armed forces of Islamic Iran, alongside the nation and under the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei (may his shadow be lengthened), and with the utmost authority, will defend the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the foundation of the ever-victorious, proud Iran to the last drop of their blood, and will not allow the spiteful enemy to achieve its satanic desires and the blood of the martyred Imam of the Ummah and other exalted martyrs to be trampled.
The American and Zionist enemies, before the divine will of the armed forces and the insightful and aware Ummah, will have no choice but to surrender.
