"Maulana Ibrahim Faizullah," head of the Society of Ulama-e-Keram of Kulna, Bangladesh, at the international webinar "Ghadir, Wilayah, and Unity" organized by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, referring to the current situation of the Islamic world, stated: "The Islamic Ummah today is passing through a critical and fateful stage—a stage in which many Islamic lands are exposed to oppression, aggression, and threats."
Referring to the pressures and hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, he emphasized: "Muslims cannot be indifferent to the oppression inflicted upon any part of the Islamic society, because Islamic teachings have called us to confront oppression and support the oppressed."
The head of the Society of Ulama-e-Keram of Bangladesh, citing verses of the Holy Quran, said: "God Almighty says, 'And do not cooperate in sin and aggression' (Quran 5:2). Also, in another verse, it is emphasized that 'The believers are but brothers' (Quran 49:10)."
He noted: "Based on these Quranic teachings, the most important duty of Muslims today is to preserve unity and solidarity, and to set aside the differences and seditions that have weakened the Islamic Ummah and provided grounds for the exploitation of enemies."
Maulana Faizullah, warning about the consequences of religious and political divisions, added: "Internal disputes reduce the power and cohesion of the Islamic Ummah and embolden the enemies of Islam in achieving their goals. Therefore, Muslims must stand together and refrain from any action that causes rifts and disunity."
He emphasized: "It is the duty of Muslims to stand with the oppressed, to stand against the oppressors, and by maintaining a spirit of peace-seeking and tranquility, to resist wars and aggressions that target the security and stability of nations."
The head of the Society of Ulama-e-Keram of Bangladesh further called upon all Muslims of the world to strive to end aggressive wars and to spread peace, mercy, and coexistence in Islamic societies, and not to allow enemies to exploit internal differences to strike at the Islamic Ummah.
In conclusion, praying for the unity of Muslims, he said: "We ask God Almighty to unite the ranks of Muslims and bring their hearts closer together, to protect Islamic countries from seditions, wars, and insecurities, and to grant His help and support to all the oppressed of the Islamic world."
