Regional equations are not yet finalized A possible Iran-US agreement does not mean the end of the conflict

According to the Taghrib News Agency, Fadi Bou Dia, editor-in-chief of Al-Miraya newspaper, stated regarding the process of regional developments and the negotiations between Iran and the United States: "The equations being drawn in the region today are progressing along two main paths. The first path is the effort of the United States and Israel to expand their project in the region, and the second path is the effort of the countries of the Resistance Axis, foremost among them the Islamic Republic of Iran, to draw a new Middle East, free from the influence and hegemony of the United States."

He added: "Accordingly, the tension between Iran and the United States, or even the bilateral negotiations between the two sides, cannot be analyzed solely within the framework of this phase or the final moments of the talks. Even if we have now reached the threshold of signing an agreement, and perhaps some of its clauses are agreed upon while the examination of disputed issues is deferred to another stage, it still cannot be said that the conflict has ended."

Bou Dia continued: "Since the beginning of the war, we have heard Donald Trump claim several times that they are close to ending the war. It has also been repeatedly claimed that Iran's capability has been destroyed and that it no longer has the power to resist. But in practice, Iran has each time unveiled capacities and capabilities that have proven the contrary."

The editor-in-chief of Al-Miraya stated: "The core issue is based on which side possesses real power and the ability to withstand. If America felt that Iran was weakened and no longer capable of confrontation, it would undoubtedly act against it again with military tools and equipment. But Washington knows well that reusing the military option could be costly and damaging, more than it would bring achievements."

He noted: "The reason for this is that Iran is still a powerful country and has the ability to resist. The nation stands with the system, military capability remains intact, and the cohesion among officers, army forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and this entire system in confronting America is preserved and unified."

Bou Dia emphasized: "Therefore, the issue is not related to Trump's kindness or his personal will. Rather, the main issue is how much real power you possess against Trump's military machine. What determines the course of developments is the balance of power, not merely political statements or media atmospherics."

He continued: "Since last night, we have repeatedly heard that we are close to an agreement and that little remains before its signing. This possibility cannot be ruled out, and I do not find an agreement improbable. However, it must be noted that in many cases, time is being bought so that perhaps the other side can achieve its golden goal."

The editor-in-chief of Al-Miraya concluded by stating: "Trump's golden goal in Iran is to inflict a real blow on the Islamic Republic of Iran and to destroy the arteries of power that can act in the future as a deterrent and as an element of confrontation with America."
