Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani described the recent Israeli attacks as a ‘manifestation of the inhuman nature of this cruel and child-killing regime’ calling them as ‘deeply regrettable and touching’, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric in his message stated,’ This crime is being carried out with the direct support of the terrorist government of America and the silence of some Arab and Islamic countries, as well as false claimants of human rights.’
The cleric called on all Muslims and freedom-loving people of the world to take a firm stand against this crime, condemn these attacks, and declare their full support for the people of Lebanon, especially the Hezbollah resistance movement, which is steadfastly and courageously defending the country and the people of Lebanon.
More than 40 people were killed in another day of intense Israeli strikes in Lebanon, the country's health ministry said.
The Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) said it had been "aware of reports regarding harm to uninvolved civilians".
