The Al Khalifa regime forces have begun a new wave of abduction of Shia clerics across the Arab country as part of crackdown and systematic repression against Shia community.

Local sources say al-Kalifa forces detained the scholars and confiscated some of their personal property without providing specific judicial orders, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Al Khalifa regime has not yet released official details of this operation with Bahraini sources reporting the arrest of “dozens” of Shia clerics, many of whom have previously been summoned, threatened, or subjected to security pressure.
 
Among the prominent clerics detained are Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, Sheikh Mahmoud Al-A'ali, Sheikh Hussain al-Mahrous.
 
The raid comes as the wave of crackdowns against Bahraini Shias has intensified since the start of the Iran war.
 
According to reports by human rights groups including the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD) and the Al-Amal Center, more than 200 people – mostly from the Shia community – have been arrested by Bahraini security forces in the past two months.
 
In this context, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry has claimed to have arrested 41 people on charges of “linking with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps” without providing specific documents or evidence.
 
The Al Khalifa regime has also revoked the citizenship of 69 people and their family members in recent days, citing their support or praise for Iran’s retaliatory operations against recent US-Israeli aggression.
 
The charges against those arrested include “spying for the Revolutionary Guards,” “sharing videos of Iranian attacks,” “praising Iran’s actions,” and “inciting violence,” charges that human rights activists say are part of efforts to silence dissent and intimidate the Shia community.
