Malaysian NGO:

World community must demand US-Israel accountability for the unprovoked war on Iran

Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) has strongly condemned the recent US-Israeli aggression across Iran demanding independent investigations into the legality of the attacks and also accountability for civilian casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and regional destabilization.
World community must demand US-Israel accountability for the unprovoked war on Iran
Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, the president of MAPIM stressed that the world must reject selective justice and that the sovereignty, like that of all nations, must be protected under international law.

The full text of the statement by MAPIM President, Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid is as follows:

The formal declaration by US President Donald Trump that hostilities against Iran have ended does not erase the grave legal, humanitarian, and geopolitical consequences of the unprovoked US-Israel military aggression launched on February 28, 2026.

The so-called termination of “Operation Epic Fury” cannot absolve the United States and Israel from international accountability for initiating a war that endangered regional stability, violated state sovereignty, and undermined the very foundations of international law.

The global community must now urgently demand:
● Independent international investigations into the legality of the US-Israel assault on Iran
● Accountability for civilian casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and regional destabilization
● Immediate review by the United Nations, International Court of Justice, and International Criminal Court
Congressional and parliamentary scrutiny within allied nations over executive war powers abuse
● Reparations for unlawful damages inflicted upon Iran and affected populations

This conflict represents more than a regional war. ●It reflects the dangerous normalization of unilateral military aggression by powerful states acting above international legal
frameworks.

The attempt to exploit ceasefire technicalities under the US War Powers Resolution to avoid domestic legislative oversight reveals a troubling manipulation of constitutional processes while ignoring broader international responsibilities.

No ceasefire can silence the questions:
● Who authorized this war under international law?
What legal basis justified the assault?
● Who will answer for the deaths, destruction, and global economic disruptions caused?

The silence of the international system in the face of such aggression would set a catastrophic precedent: that powerful nations may wage war at will and later evade justice through political maneuvering.

Iran’s sovereignty, like that of all nations, must be protected under international law.

The world must reject selective justice.

Without accountability:
international law becomes meaningless
global peace becomes fragile
militarized impunity becomes normalized

The people of the world, civil society, peace movements, legal institutions, and responsible governments must unite to ensure that US-Israel actions are subjected to the same standards of justice demanded of all nations.

Justice must not end with ceasefire.

Accountability must begin now.
