Russia has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with Iran, highlighting a recent joint naval exercise between the two countries.

Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidency, stated that the Russia-Iran naval drills were planned and agreed upon in advance, emphasizing that Moscow intends to continue developing its relationship with Tehran.
Peskov added that the region is experiencing unprecedented tensions, and called on all parties to exercise restraint regarding the situation surrounding Iran.
He also expressed hope that political and diplomatic tools would take precedence in resolving matters concerning Iran.
