Speaking to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Sheikh Muneeb Ahmad referred to Washington’s role in Iran’s internal developments and stated: The United States, under the guise of supporting economic protests, sought to divert legitimate public demands from their peaceful path and steer them toward violence and armed clashes.
He added that instead of supporting peaceful demonstrations, the U.S. focused on provoking protesters toward violent actions. In doing so, it not only launched extensive media and psychological warfare but also armed certain elements and provided various forms of support in an attempt to create chaos and insecurity in Iran— a conspiracy that ultimately failed due to the vigilance of the government and the unity and cooperation of the Iranian people. A Clear Violation of the UN Charter and Interference in Domestic Affairs
The Pakistani scholar emphasized the legal dimensions of these actions, noting:
What the United States pursued in Iran is a clear example of interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state. The use of armed protesters to fuel violence and disorder contradicts democratic principles and constitutes an explicit violation of the United Nations Charter. America’s Double Standards and the Threat to Global Democratic Order
Sheikh Muneeb Ahmad continued: The United States implements such policies against Iran while simultaneously suppressing public protests within its own borders with violence. This double standard is a blatant breach of the principle of non‑interference in the internal affairs of states and poses a serious threat to democracy—not only in the region but globally—reflecting an authoritarian and hegemonic mindset. Unity of the Islamic World Against Colonialism and Global Crimes
In the final part of his remarks, he highlighted the support of scholars and several Islamic and non‑Islamic countries for the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: The backing of religious scholars, intellectuals, and countries such as Russia and China for Iran is a symbol of unity and courage in the face of global colonialism. This unity is a historical necessity, especially for the Islamic world, at a time when adversaries are fueling instability while simultaneously committing genocide in Gaza and threatening global peace.
The Pakistani scholar stressed that only unity can prevent the continuation of oppression, brutality, and barbarism.
