Leader of Islamic Revolution urges Iranians to disappoint enemy in revolution anniversary rallies
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has called on the Iranian people to disappoint the enemies by demonstrating their steadfastness during the upcoming rallies which mark the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The Leader made the remarks in a televised message on the eve of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Addressing the Iranian nation, the Leader called on the people to demonstrate their resolve and steadfastness during the Feb. 11 rallies and “disappoint the enemy.”
The text of the Leader’s message is as follows:
“In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
The 11th of February each year is a day for unveiling the power and dignity of the Iranian nation — a nation, by God’s grace, that is motivated, resolute, steadfast, appreciative, and fully aware of its own interests and threats. On the day that the first February 11 took place, the Iranian nation achieved a great victory, freeing itself and its country from foreign interference. Those same foreign powers have, throughout the years, sought to restore the previous situation.
The Iranian nation remains steadfast, and the manifestation of this steadfastness is seen on February 11. This march is unparalleled in the world. Nowhere else do we see a country where, year after year and decades after independence, massive crowds take to the streets in nationwide rallies to mark a national day and make their presence felt. Today, the Iranian nation demonstrates its strength through marches, forcing those who covet the Islamic Republic, Iran, and the interests of its people to retreat.
National power is linked more to the will and perseverance of nations than to missiles or aircraft. By God’s grace, you have shown your steadfastness and resolve. You must demonstrate it again in various arenas. Disappoint the enemy. As long as the enemy is not disappointed, a nation remains exposed to pressure and harassment. The enemy must be disappointed.
The enemy’s despair comes from your unity, your intellectual and moral strength, your motivation, and your resistance to the enemy’s temptations. These elements constitute national power.
God willing, our youth will continue to advance and take action in various fields — science, practice, piety and ethics, as well as material and spiritual progress — creating pride for the country. February 11 is the manifestation of all these achievements. On this day, people take to the streets, chant slogans, express realities, demonstrate their solidarity, and declare their loyalty to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We hope that this year’s February 11, like those of previous years, will further enhance the grandeur of the Iranian nation and compel other nations, governments, and powers to show humility and respect before the Iranian people — and God willing, this will indeed be the case.”
