Hojjatoleslam Qaderi: Disarmament in Missile Issues Would Leave Iran Defenseless

According to a report by the Taghrir News Agency, during a gathering held at the Qubay Mosque of Paveh to commemorate the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Hojjatoleslam Mollaghader Qaderi met with various groups of people, including Basij members and local officials.

He quoted the Quran, stating, "God says to the Prophet, 'And remind them of the days of Allah.' This divine instruction is not limited to just one or two days; today, the fourth and fifth generations of the revolution do not understand how our country was during the era of tyranny and how this revolution came to fruition through immense hardships and sacrifices."

Qaderi emphasized the historical significance of February 22, 1979, explaining how the world was divided into two blocs: Western capitalism and Eastern communism. He pointed out that these blocs were the main decision-makers and divided the world into oppressors and the oppressed.

He noted the unprecedented success of the Iranian nation in leading the Islamic Revolution with the slogan "Neither East nor West," transforming Iran into a third pole in global geopolitics—a situation difficult for both the U.S. and the Soviet Union to tolerate, leading them to conspire against the country.

Since the Islamic Revolution's inception, instead of kindness from other nations, Iran has faced hostility. Qaderi recounted the eight-year imposed war initiated by Saddam on September 22, 1980, which lasted until July 27, 1988. Despite being on the front lines, the people of Iran showed remarkable resilience.

He lamented the loss of many martyrs and the continued struggle of veterans, stating, **"The people of Iran truly resisted, and many cities were evacuated during the war."** He added that in the Urmia region, residents from around 30 villages are still unable to return home.

Describing today's generation as the fifth generation since the revolution, he noted the challenges of engaging a youth demographic that has little connection to the struggles of previous generations. He commented, **"It is crucial to develop effective approaches to engage and guide this generation."**

Reflecting on the threats faced by the Islamic system, Qaderi highlighted how protests initially sparked by economic issues were soon co-opted by organized adversaries intent on undermining the regime. He described various criminal acts, including arson and attacks on religious sites, perpetrated by these groups who aimed not to improve living conditions but to overthrow the government.

He celebrated the Iranian people's response to these threats, expressing gratitude for their massive turnout on January 22, reaffirming the revolution's resilience.

Qaderi cautioned, "If we do not remain vigilant, the enemy will certainly act. We must recognize that the war is not over, and threats continue to loom." He invoked the wisdom of Imam Ali (AS), stating that lacking insight is worse than lacking sight.

Concerning the geopolitical landscape, he commented on America's military presence near Iran's borders, stressing that their demands for nuclear negotiations are a prelude to further disarmament in missile capabilities. He concluded, "If we are disarmed in nuclear and missile matters, we will have no means of defense, and we would face the same fate as Lebanon and Gaza."

Lastly, Qaderi expressed concern over neighboring countries that may outwardly oppose U.S. actions but secretly wish for conflict, stating, **"Apart from Qatar, which shows some sincerity, the rest of our neighbors are not genuinely supportive."** He urged the need for clarity and awareness regarding these dynamics.
