The Prophet Muhammad, Holy Qur’an are two foundational pillars of Islamic identity

She stated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Holy Qur’an form the two essential pillars of the shared Islamic identity. Through them, the path of guidance becomes clear and the boundary between truth and falsehood is defined. She added that the Prophet strengthened this foundation by linking the Qur’an with his purified Ahl al‑Bayt, citing his well‑known saying: “I leave among you two precious things: the Book of God and my Ahl al‑Bayt.” This connection, she said, safeguards the religion from distortion and preserves the integrity of Islamic identity.
Referring to the perspective of the Ahl al‑Bayt school of thought, al‑Sheikh Qassem explained that true unity does not require abandoning principles, but rather uniting around foundational truths—such as faith in God, the Prophet, and the Qur’an, as well as adherence to justice, human dignity, and mercy, which are core values of authentic Islam.
She described conscious unity as the primary shield protecting the Ummah from division, enabling Muslims to confront contemporary challenges such as injustice, global arrogance, and attempts to distort the true image of Islam.
Commenting on the current state of the Islamic world, she noted that today’s reality shows that division leads to weakness, and internal conflicts only result in the humiliation of the Ummah. In contrast, unity grounded in truth and awareness empowers Muslims to stand firm, defend sacred values, and build an independent future. She emphasized that the Ahl al‑Bayt were pioneers of this approach, consistently calling for unity, adherence to truth, patience, and wisdom.
In conclusion, Rima al‑Sheikh Qassem expressed hope, saying: “May God Almighty make us among those who hold firmly to His Book, follow the path of the Prophet and his purified family, and strive for unity among Muslims while remaining steadfast upon the truth.”
