If enemies spark a war, this war will be a regional one

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of Iranian people on Sunday morning marking the beginning of 47^th victory anniversary of Islamic Revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the warmongering rhetoric and deployment of warplanes and warships is nothing new as the U.S. has constantly threatened Iran with war.

He added,” We will not be the beginner of a war and do not intend to attack any country though the Iranian nation will inflict a hard blow to anyone who attacks the country.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution emphasized that the Iranian nation will not be intimidated by such threats.

Regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said,” The recent sedition in the country was more of a coup d’etat which was of course foiled.”

Describing the recent American sedition, Ayatollah Khamenei said,” The first feature of the attack was that rioters hid behind protesters and said,” Seditious agents, like criminals who use women and children as human shields, hid behind the bazaar protesters who had legal demands.”

The Leader counted the coup-like nature of the riots as the second feature where the rioters meant to destroy the sensitive centers in administration of the country saying,” That is why they targeted the police stations, government centers, IRGC bases, banks and mosques and burnt copies of Qur’an.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the planning of the sedition in abroad with the guideline of ringleaders from within the country as another feature of the recent attacks where an American agent had vowed that Mossad and CIA had mobilized all capabilities to support the protesters.

The Leader stressed that the main objective behind the attacks was to undermine the security of the country and said,” Where there is no security, there is no livelihood, business, scientific researches or progress; therefore, the livelihood of all people is owed to those who safeguarded security in the country.”

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the enemies intended to array the people against the establishment but the people, in their huge turnout in January 12^th solidarity rally inflicted a blow to the ill-wishers.

He referred to a previous statement by Donald Trump, during his first term of presidency, admitting U.S.’ role in establishment of Daesh terrorist group and said,” In the recent sedition, the Americans created a Daesh similar to that terrorist group.”

Concluding his remarks, the Leader of Islamic Revolution noted the reason for more than forty years of hostility between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic and said,” The U.S. intends to consume Iran but the brave Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic impede that.”

The Leader said the various attractions of Iran including the petroleum, rich mines, strategic location of the country has caused greed in an aggressive power like the United States and warned,” They (enemies) are seeking to seize Iran and regain their control over the resources, oil, politics, security and international relations of Iran as it was during the Pahlavi regime” adding,” That is the main reason for their hostility and the rest of their claims are all nonsense.”

Ayatollah Khamenei vowed that the Iranian nation has firmly stood against the U.S. excessive demands and will continue to do so.
