The statement said: “Any regional intervention will place serious responsibilities on all parties involved. U.S. threats to target Imam Khamenei represent a dangerous escalation of tensions, and any harm to the position of leadership will have grave consequences.”
In this context, Firas al Yasser, a member of the Political Council of Harakat al Nujaba, commented on a potential U.S. attack on Iran, stating: “Any action against Iran will push the region toward a broader confrontation that will also encompass the Persian Gulf countries and Iraq.”
Al Yasser emphasized that the role of resistance forces in Iraq would be central to defending regional security and stability. He added that these groups would not wait for the flames of conflict to reach Iraqi territory; rather, from the very first moments of any attack on Iran, they would actively participate in response.
Previously, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, stated during a solidarity gathering of the Lebanese people with the Islamic Republic of Iran that a war against Iran could this time set the entire region ablaze. He stressed: “We will never be among those who facilitate such actions. We hope to neutralize them, and through defense, there is hope for major outcomes. The United States seeks to dominate the entire world and, in cooperation with Israel, aims to strike all resistance projects in the region.”
He further noted that over the past two months, many parties have asked a clear question regarding Hezbollah’s response in the event of a U.S. or Israeli attack on Iran. He explained that the response was as follows: “In any potential aggression, we ourselves would be targeted, and we are determined to defend. At that time, we will decide how to act—whether to intervene or not—but we will not remain neutral.”
