Another attack on the holy book of Islam as a copy of Quran bearing six bullet holes was found chained to railings of stairs in Stockholm Mosque.

Officials of Stockholm Mosque in Sweden, say a defaced copy of the Muslim holy book was discovered at the site on Sunday.
 
In a statement, the mosque’s administration said a copy of the Holy Quran, with six bullet holes, was found chained to the railings of the stairs.
 
The police have launched an investigation and that the incident that has sparked strong reactions within the Muslim community.
 
Mahmud al-Halefi, chairman of the Stockholm Mosque condemned the attack and said: “There were also messages written in Arabic and Swedish on the Quran saying, ‘Thanks for the visit, but it’s time to go home.’ We perceived this message as an explicit racist statement targeting Muslims.”
 
Halefi described the act as part of a broader pattern of anti-Muslim hatred, calling on authorities to take firm measures against hate crimes and ensure the safety of religious communities.
 
In a similar move in the United States, Jake Lang, a Republican candidate for the US Senate, attempted to burn a copy of the Quran during an anti-Islam march in the Muslim-American hub of Dearborn, Michigan.
 
The move has triggered rage across the world of Islam with massive rallies held across the Yemeni cities on Friday and messages issued by prominent Muslim figures denouncing the sacrilege against the holy book of Islam.
