Hezbollah condemns US, Israeli lobbies behind recent Qur’an desecration

The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah has issued a statement denouncing the recent Qur’an desecration in the United States as a grave offense against Muslims and divine values.

The movement argued that U.S. administrations and Zionist lobbies fuel such hatred, framing it as part of a broader campaign to distort Islam. It urged Arab and Islamic institutions to launch widespread condemnation campaigns.

Yemen’s Ansarallah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi described the desecration as a heinous crime and propaganda tool within the Zionist war against Muslims. He urged Yemenis to hold mass demonstrations, emphasizing religious identity and solidarity with Palestine.

Tens of thousands rallied in Sana’a and other cities, condemning the desecration and expressing solidarity with Gaza. Protesters called for boycotts of American and Israeli goods, framing the act as part of a Zionist campaign against Islam.

Three large rallies were held on Friday in al-Qabaitah district, Lahj governorate, under the slogan “Mobilization and Readiness… In Support of the Qur’an and Palestine,” denouncing the U.S. insult to the Holy Qur’an and declaring readiness for the next stage of confrontation.

Participants affirmed their steadfast stance against U.S.-Israeli aggression and reiterated support for the Palestinian people, condemning the Qur’an desecration as part of a broader campaign targeting Islam and its sacred sites.

The rallies stressed firm adherence to the Holy Qur’an, declaring any insult to it an attack on the entire Muslim nation, and called on Muslim peoples to mobilize, confront repeated insults, and continue boycotting U.S. and Israeli products.

A statement held the United States, Britain, and Israel fully responsible for the repeated offenses, denounced the recent gas deal between Egypt and Israel, and called for its cancellation.
