Islamic World Artificial Intelligence Index to Be Launched in Baku Conference
According to Taghrib News Agency (TNA), The event will feature the participation of Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al‑Malik, Director‑General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Supreme Chairman of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation in the UAE.

During the Baku conference, a document entitled “Islamic World Artificial Intelligence Index”—prepared to scientifically assess AI development trends—will be unveiled for the first time.
The conference aims to enhance cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence across the Islamic world and to discuss the ethical, social, and economic impacts of AI.
Around 150 participants, including ministers of education from 10 ICESCO member states, international experts, and government representatives, are expected to attend. The program will also include discussions on the role of AI in education systems, and a final statement will be issued on “Developing the Artificial Intelligence Index among ICESCO member states.”
