The Office described the violations as “a blatant breach of international humanitarian law and of the humanitarian protocol attached to the agreement”.
According to the statement, the Israeli forces had also arrested 38 Palestinians in a series of incursions and raids, calling the arrests “a further proof of the occupation’s determination to undermine the agreement and impose a violent reality on the ground that threatens security and stability in the Gaza Strip”.
The documented attacks included 164 shooting incidents targeting civilians, homes, residential areas and the tents of displaced people in addition to 25 incursions into residential and agricultural areas.
During the same period, the Israeli occupation forces carried out 280 shelling and airstrikes and demolished 118 homes and civilian infrastructure. The Office described the demolitions as “a systematic crime aimed at expanding destruction and collectively punishing the population”.
The Government Media Office warned that the continuing violations represent “a serious breach of the Geneva Conventions” and could lead to “grave humanitarian and security repercussions” if they persist.
