Details of the Attack
Local Syrian sources reported that Israeli ground forces attacked the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside early Friday. Artillery and rocket fire killed more than 10 Syrian civilians and wounded several others.
According to Israeli media, the assault met with fierce resistance from local Syrian youth, leaving 13 Israeli soldiers injured, three of them in critical condition. The reports described the Beit Jinn operation as “exceptional” due to the heavy casualties among Israeli forces.
Sources added that Israeli drones continued to fly over Beit Jinn, forcing dozens of Syrian families to flee their homes to safer areas.
