Iran’s Foreign Ministry Condemns Australia’s Offensive Decision on IRGC

We express disgust at the compliance of certain Australian policymakers with the malicious policies of the genocidal Zionist regime in spreading lies against Iran, and we emphasize the international responsibility of the Australian government for this wrongful act.”

The ministry described the move as irresponsible and part of a grave mistake based on fabricated accusations by Israeli security agencies, turning the long standing Iran–Australia diplomatic relationship into a bargaining chip for the occupying regime. It noted that even Australian authorities, including New South Wales Police on October 25, 2025, explicitly acknowledged the baseless nature of allegations of Iranian involvement in actions against Jewish targets, confirming there was no evidence of Iran’s role.

Iran stressed that Australia’s political decision is a dangerous and criminal precedent, designed under Zionist influence to divert public attention from the genocide in Gaza. “This amounts to complicity with criminals already under prosecution by the International Criminal Court,” the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the IRGC’s honorable and decisive role as part of Iran’s official armed forces, defending the nation against foreign aggression and combating terrorism, including ISIS. It emphasized Iran’s determination to take all necessary measures to defend the status and credibility of its armed forces against hostile labeling.
