British Shi’ism and American Sunnism: Tools of Arrogance to Break Muslim Unity

According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Sanayi emphasized: “The perfection of the Islamic world lies in establishing unity in its Qur’anic and practical sense among Muslims. Unity is a profound word full of meaning—it signifies cohesion against whatever separates us. Today, unity must be one of the most important features of the Islamic world.”

He reminded that arrogant powers seeking to plunder the wealth of Islamic countries do everything possible to prevent genuine unity among Muslims. “We must return to authentic religious foundations to achieve unity in practice,” he said.

Sanayi noted that in recent years Muslims have witnessed firsthand the plots of arrogance and colonialism to sow division. “If we want to remain unharmed by these seditions and schemes, we must realize unity in its true sense within society,” he stressed.
He explained: “The enemy created the notions of ‘ British Shi’ism’ and ‘American Sunnism’ to cause division among Muslims. These two have become barriers to unity. British Shi’ism seeks to distort the image of Sunni brothers, while American Sunnism tries to undermine Shi’a values. We must recognize this complex and combined plot so as not to fall into their trap.”
Finally, Sanayi highlighted Iran’s role: “Today Iran is recognized as the standard bearer of unity in the Islamic world. It has overcome many plots and conspiracies of the enemy. My message to other Muslims is to join Iran in the cause of unity, because Islamic solidarity and cohesion can change global equations.”
