Former Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Salim Hoss said in a statement in the name of "National Unity platform", that "ending the crisis in Syria will immunize the Arab nation."

"We are delighted that the Syrian government responded to the Arab League initiative, and we hope that the Syrian opposition also respond with this step, to save the innocent blood being shed in the street."

The statement added "We are concerned to point out that Syria is targeted due to its Adherence to the real Arab values. It is known that Syria summarize the Arab world to a recognized extent in the international arena, so that targeting Syria means in practice, targeting the Arab nation, or rather her heart".
