Iran Rejects G7 Allegations as Baseless and Irresponsible
Baghaei condemned the G7’s endorsement of the illegal and unjustified actions by three European countries and the United States in misusing the dispute resolution mechanism of the JCPOA to reinstate previously lifted UN Security Council resolutions against Iran. He described this as support for a clear violation of international norms, emphasizing that such a stance does not legitimize the unlawful conduct of those states.

He further criticized the G7’s call for Iran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), while ignoring the joint military aggression by the U.S. and Israel against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities. Baghaei labeled this demand as hypocritical and interventionist, stressing that the U.S. withdrawal from the JCPOA in 2018 and its attacks on Iranian nuclear sites are the root causes of the current situation. He also blamed the European trio for failing to uphold their commitments and for supporting military aggression, thereby undermining Iran’s diplomatic initiatives.
On the issue of Palestine, Baghaei denounced the G7’s position as irresponsible and contrary to international obligations, particularly regarding the right to self-determination and the prevention of genocide. He argued that the G7’s full support for Israel and its silence on the occupation and atrocities against Palestinians render its human rights claims void of credibility.
Baghaei also rejected the repeated and unfounded accusations by the G7 concerning Iran’s alleged involvement in the Ukraine conflict. He reiterated Iran’s principled stance against war, advocating for a diplomatic resolution through dialogue. He affirmed that Iran has no involvement in the Ukraine war, and urged accusers to abandon their superiority complex and scapegoating, and instead acknowledge and correct their own flawed policies regarding global peace and security.
