The ninth edition of World Peace Forum (WPF) is set to be held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on November 9-11.

The meeting will be held under the theme “Considering Wasatiyyat Islam and Tiong Hua for Global Collaboration,” emphasizing Islamic moderation and Chinese cultural values, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, is among hundreds of Muslim elites and thinkers from across the globe who are attending the forum.
 
Participants to the forum will attend specialized meetings on moderate Islam as scheduled by the organizers. The topics for the meeting include:

Specialized meeting on Muslim women characters
Role of moderate Islam and Tiong Hua in global cooperations
Moderate Islam worldview and its importance for world civilization
A review of practical solutions for global cooperation based on moderate Islam and Tiong Hua
 
The meeting is considered a platform for dialogue among civilizations, regional cooperation and building global peace.
