“On behalf of the proud and resilient people of Iran, I strongly denounce this heinous act,” Qalibaf declared. “The U.S. must answer for its role in this clear breach of the UN Charter and Iran’s sovereign rights.”
He reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering stance against any threat, emphasizing that the nation stands united and powerful in the face of hostility. “The Iranian people will hold aggressors accountable for their actions,” he said. Strategic Visit to Pakistan
The Speaker provided a detailed report on his recent three-day visit to Pakistan, conducted at the invitation of the Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly and in line with the Supreme Leader’s directive to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy.
Qalibaf highlighted two key goals of the visit: Conveying gratitude from the Iranian people and leadership for Pakistan’s support. Enhancing bilateral cooperation in economic, cultural, and security domains.
He emphasized Pakistan’s strategic importance to Iran, citing complementary trade needs, deep cultural ties, and shared security interests. “Pakistan’s geography positions it as a vital bridge to East Asia and beyond,” he noted.
During the visit, the Iranian parliamentary delegation met with top Pakistani officials, including the acting president, Senate chairman, prime minister, and army chief. They also held productive sessions with business leaders and cultural figures from both countries. Key Outcomes and Future Prospects
Discussions focused on: Implementing previously signed cooperation agreements. Expanding bilateral trade to $10 billion. Facilitating barter trade through infrastructure reforms. Finalizing a free trade framework. Strengthening border security and joint markets. Planning trilateral projects with China.
Qalibaf expressed hope that these initiatives would soon yield tangible results. A Warm Welcome in Pakistan
He extended heartfelt thanks to the people of Pakistan for their enthusiastic reception, especially in Islamabad and Karachi. “Attending Friday prayers in Karachi was unforgettable,” he said. “The chants of support for Iran and Palestine were a testament to the deep brotherhood between our nations.”
He concluded by affirming that such scenes of Islamic solidarity prove that Muslims, united under the banner of faith, can transcend material calculations and overcome global powers. “This visit was a major step toward strengthening the alliance between Iran and Pakistan. With joint efforts, we can build a brighter future for both nations.”
