Al-Hindi: U.S. Draft at UN Security Council Distorts the Nature of the Palestinian Cause

In remarks reported by Taghrib News(TNA), Al-Hindi stated: “The American draft lacks transparency and aims to deploy an international force in Gaza to replace the occupying regime. This opens the door to international trusteeship, marginalizes Palestinian will, and repackages the Zionist regime in a new form.”

He emphasized that any technocratic committee tasked with managing Gaza must be rooted in authentic Palestinian authority and not governed by external institutions or peace councils that do not represent the Palestinian people.
Al-Hindi firmly rejected the idea of granting veto power to the occupying regime over the selection of countries participating in any international force, calling it a continuation of unlawful domination.
Regarding disarmament proposals, Al-Hindi declared them doomed to fail. “No Palestinian faction has the mandate to revoke the people’s right to resist,” he said. “Weapons are part of Palestinian dignity and a means of defense against occupation.”
He concluded by accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately stalling the implementation of the second phase of recent agreements. “Using baseless pretexts, Netanyahu is attempting to reshape realities on the ground to his advantage, ignoring the will of the Palestinian people,” Al-Hindi said.
