Cleric hails role of arts as means to express Islamic messages

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has emphasized the capabilities of arts in promoting the Islamic unity, compassion of Islamic nation and also the messages of resistance.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks in a joint meeting with Behrouz Shu’aibi, the director of Iranian Youth Cinema Society as both sides stressed mutual cooperation between the two centers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric praised the arts that contribute to expression of truth, humanity and accuracy and noted,” Many high concepts in the discourse of resistance and Islam, particularly following the 12-day Israeli-imposed war, could be expressed through the medium of arts.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari then underlined mutual cooperation between the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in festivals at home and across the globe.
 
“Arts could bridge the hearts of Muslims and provide the means for depicting the spirit of fraternity in the Islamic nation”, he said and added,” Undoubtedly, we are in need of an artistic expression of unity and resistance, a narration that brings hearts closer.”
 
The director of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society for his part underscored the key role of Islamic proximity in the diplomatic framework of the country and said,” The cooperation between the two centers could materialize in joint cultural and artistic projects.”
