Arrogant powers oppose a mighty independent Iran
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, in his sermon on Friday October 31, highlighted the upcoming anniversary of the takeover of the former US embassy in Tehran and also the Israeli-imposed war on Iran as two instances that reveal arrogant powers’ opposition with a mighty and independent Iran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The anniversary of November 4 uprising against the US and also the defense during the 12-day Israeli-imposed war give us a clear lesson that necessitate both soft warfare and military defense for a mighty Iran.”

The remarks by the cleric came on the eve of the National Student Day, also known as the day to counter world arrogance, which marks the uprising of the Iranian students who took over the former US embassy in 1979.

Haj Ali Akbari said,” This is a day to review the history which reveals over seven decades of US hostility with Iranian nation.”

The cleric added,” On the other hand, this year registered a new page in the history of Iran when the country was attacked by the US and the Israeli regime amid nuclear negotiations with the United States.”

He said,” The US’ arrogant view does not target Iran alone as the US behaves so towards other world countries”, adding,” That reveals Washington’s absurdity and vanity.”

Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader stressed that the unity and convergence revealed during the 12-day Israeli-imposed war requires support emphasizing importance of boosting military capabilities since that was what forced the Israeli regime and the US to propose a ceasefire.
