Hezbollah expressed its appreciation for the stance taken by Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun, who called for confronting Israeli violations. The group emphasized that the continuation of such crimes and repeated aggressions by the Israeli occupation necessitates a unified and responsible national position from the Lebanese government and all political forces.
The statement further stressed the United States' complicity, asserting that the Israeli aggression was carried out with American support and that Washington has given Tel Aviv the green light to escalate tensions against Lebanon.
According to the statement, Israeli forces infiltrated the town of Blida with a military patrol composed of several jeeps and targeted a municipal employee, Ibrahim Salameh, while he was resting inside a municipal building. The attack resulted in his immediate martyrdom.
Hezbollah concluded by reaffirming its commitment to defending Lebanese sovereignty and confronting ongoing Israeli violations and provocations.
